Installation Manager 1.2 flag JREs 1.6/1.7 as incompatible
Hello,
I am attempting to install RTC using the installatoin manager which auto-updated to v1.2.
During the installation, at wizard page where I attempt to extend gaynemede SR1, an error is generated telling me that my installed JRE v 1.6.0_10-rc used by the extended eclipse is incompatible with Packages JVM's requirements.
What is this JVM requirement of the IIM?
Before the installation manager was updated, I have never seen this error and the same JVM was used.
Thanks

The error you are seeing is likely misleading (that is, it isn't
necessarily a jvm compatibility issue). It appears you can get this
error in any case where IIM is unable to obtain information about the
JVM being used (there are multiple potential causes). There is an
existing work item
https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/62584
with some discussion of that problem.
The bottom line, though, is that you should be able to get better
information about what the specific problem is by looking in the IIM log
after you get this error. Go to File->View Log and look for the error.
You should see some additional details. If you are unable to
determine the problem from that information, please open a work item
with the log information or respond here.
