Is it possible or any plans for snapshot promotion from buil

I work in a build group supporting hosting RTC projects as well as
build. One of our projects is requesting ability to promote a snapshot
as part of the build process (perhaps only if the build is successful).

I don't see any way to do this based on the v1.0 release unless I missed
something.

Can someone tell me if this is possible, and perhaps not well
documented, in the existing JBT or scm tool? If not, is it planned (I
also searched the buglist site and didn't find anything related).
