Prevent creation of private components in RTC 4?
Hello,
Is it possible to prevent users from creating private components (RTC V4)?
We really want to control how the components are created and their contents. It sounds like we can not prevent certain users from creating components (really need this). Wondering if we can forbid users from creating private components?

This is work item Want to be able to control who is allowed to create a component (95350). (And you did the right thing to add a comment to that work item, indicating your interest/support).
Permissions can be used to restrict component creation but not sure if this is exactly what you want from the context of private components, anyways here are my cents:
Team Configuration > Permissions > Select Existing Role / Create a new Role > Permitted actions > Source Control > Save Component > Modify > Component > Add a component to a project / team area
