RTC IBM Launcher installation problem

Hello experts,
I am spawning the current ganymede release using the IBM Launcher. However, after directing it to the eclipse to be spawned, the next wizard page generated the following error:
Some features and bundles of your existing Eclipse installation need to be upgraded with newer versions or are missing. You must update your existing Eclipse using its Install/Update manager. Use its "Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install..." menu item to invoke its Install/Update manager. Alternatively, you can download the features and bundles from eclipse.org.
The details view of the error has the following bundles that require updating:
Bundle "org.apache.commons.httpclient_1.0.0.1" needs to be updated to version "3.0.0"
Bundle "org.jivesoftware.smack_2.2.1" needs to be updated to version "3.0.4"
I found the following jars on the web and dropped them in the eclipse plugin directory, but the same errors persist.
QUESTION:
How, if it is at all possible, do I use the update manager to update a single jar without knowing to which package this jar belongs.
Thanks for your help.

Hallo Andrew:
Thanks a million for this link. I was thinking that I was the only one who discovered this problem. I will try the workaround until IM 1.2 is released.
Thanks again.
