What day length is used in estimates?

Mark Whitlock (111) | asked Oct 03 '08, 9:26 a.m.
Hi
Using the eclipse client, I create a task for myself and give it an estimate of 2d (for example). I then run a query from the Team Artifacts view and the task is listed in the Work Items view. But the estimate shown in the Work Items view is (incorrectly) 1 day 6 hours. If I open the task, the estimate shows up correctly as 2d. Why is the estimate shown up differently between the two places?

In Team Organization under my user profile in the Work Environment tab, I have set my work time to be 7h 30m for every day, but when I change this, it doesn't change the problem I have with the estimates. My project administrator tells me that the working day has been set to 7 hours for the whole project.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Mark

The Work Items view does not respect the work hours per day setting, but
assumes a 8h work day. I've opened defect 62104
(https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/62104)
to track this.
