Restricting the type of parents/children

We have a request to restrict the TYPE of a work item that can be in the parent/child relationship. For example, an Epic can only have Story children .. you cannot have a Task or a Defect as a child of an Epic.

Is there a way to configure RTC to automatically enforce this parent/child relationship restriction?

Same can be achieved through Server Side Operation Advisors / Preconditions, (JAVA API)
No other predefined restrictions are available in RTC
