Using Eclipse for Windows 8 development

Venkatesh Nadamuni (138) | asked Sep 04 '12, 2:28 p.m.

One of our users is interested in using eclipse for Windows 8 development.  Is this supported?  I will post this question in Eclipse forum as well, but since there is a dedciated version of Eclipse for RTC, I would like to check here as well.

Thanks

When you say "Windows 8 development" what platform are you referring to? Java, .net, c/c++ or something else? or are you simply asking if eclipse runs on windows 8?

yes, the question is: Is Eclipse Supported (runs) on Windows 8? The reference to the Windows 8 Developmemt was about the pre-release of Win8 and the fact that the individual is running Win8 while developing/testing other Win8 component and would like to also run Eclipse 4.x to access RTC 4.0
