Categorizing artifacts using team areas in RQM

Vinay Kumar AV (17933837) | asked Sep 03 '12, 7:07 a.m.
Hi

I am evaluating the use of team areas in RQM. Is it advisable to have multiple team areas within a single RQM project area?

I see that it is not as robust as using team areas in RTC. In RTC, I could categorize artificats like WI, plans, etc among team areas using the Filed Against attribute.

How can I do the same using RQM to categorize test artifacts like test plans, test cases, etc.

Is there any best practice guidance regarding this? Please advise.

Regards
Vinay

Team support was rolled out in RQM 4.0 but right now it is mostly in the area of permissions.

For categorization of artifacts the best thing do do is use customer categories and attributes.  These work well for organizing and filtering the resources.
