Hi,

Is there a way to set the operational behaviour for a specific work item type? for instance, I want to apply "Strict Group Resolution" to defect type only.

Is this possible?

The Strict Group Resolution does not provide a configuration parameter to select only specific work item types. You would have o create your own extension for this. https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/rtc-update-parent-duration-estimation-and-effort-participant/ provides some information and some links back to jazz.net with more information on how to do this.
