How to setup Active Directory in Distributed environment?

Bharat Patel (81123943) | asked Aug 01 '12, 11:05 p.m.

I am currently working on CLM 4.0 setup in distributed environment.

JTS 4.0, WAS 8.0 is installed in Machine 1

RQM 4.0, WAS 8.0 is installed in Machine 2

RTC 4.0, WAS 8.0 is installed in Machine 3

We are using Microsoft Active Directory (AD) as External Registry.

Question is Does AD setup is required only where JTS is installed in Machine 1 or Does AD setup is required for each of application (RQM, RTC, JTS) i.e. in all 3 machine i.e. Machine 1, Machine 2 and Machine 3

It is required for all machines that have an application deployed that requires authentication. As far as I am aware that are JTS, CCM and QM today. RM gets its authentication data from JTS. It should be documented in the help http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0/nav/5_0

I think https://jazz.net/library/article/831 is showing it too.
