In MyDashboard under task pane shows asset id instead of asset name
Hi,
In my MyDashboard under Task pane. When we open Permission request down arrow. Its displaying Asset UID instead of Asset name. Is this iRAM expected behaviour in version 7.5.0.2. Users facing some problem for this unknown asset name. How to overcome on this? For example: Sudesh Kumar requests the permission to read the asset details of the asset {28598123-9AC9-B678-4B00-F9002FBB0588} [1.0]. Sudesh Kumar's comments: Reusable and need to use this an input for another data warehouse deal Regards, Rameshbabu (d.v.rameshbabu@in.ibm.com) |

This is a problem due to some implementation restrictions for security. RAM does not allow users to see the name of an asset that they do not have access to. So when the user does a permission request they do not see the name only the GUID. But the problem is that there is only one message and Task created that are shared between the user making the request and the user that would process the request. Since there is only one the name can't be placed into it or security would be breached.
We are looking at how to get these separated so that the requesting user does not see the name while the processing user does see that name. But we don't have a solution yet. |
