IBM Rational Team Concert failed check in

When checking in a large number of files to our Jazz Team Server, the check in will run quickly and smoothly until the last few files, when the check in will cycle and never completes. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?
Additionally, is there a 'best practice' for uploading a project of massive size? Approximately 6.37 GB, 293,832 files? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Large file uploads tend to be the ones still churning at the end of large commits/shares so I suspect that you're stuck waiting for the last few big ones to make it over the network.
