Resource booking best practicies in CLM4?
Hello,
I'm looking for the best practicies for booking project resources.
My client has queue of projects that could utilize the same people. They want to be able to plan and book their time for incoming projects taking into account resource allocation for ongoing projects.
Example: Ivan is allocated to: project A from June 3rd till June 11; project B from July 8 till July 20.
They are planning new project that has task1-7h; task2 - 25h; task3 - 3h. They want to assign these tasks to Ivan. How they could determine nearest available time slots and book them?
-thanks in advance

Hi
If you are using the Formal Project management template then you can use the resources tab to do so.
There is a search and assign button on the top in which you can specify any 2 of start date, finish date and hours required and the set of users whom you are interested in.
The assumption for the Agile projects is that the users will be available for throughout the duration of the project for specified percentage, that is the reason why this feature is not present in the scrum projects.

Hi,
I'm aware of this capabilities. What I'm looking for are best practicies. What will happen if all resources are already booked? How I could found for what tasks in what projects booked resources I'm looking for? * What will happen if some project is stopped? How the other could know that there are available resouces and how they could replan allocation?
-thanks in advance
