What JTS all together?

hello,
Basically we treat QM, RM, CCM, JTS, ADMIN all these are different independent applications and can talk to each other on integration / by creating life cycle project. Here I want to understand what is basically JTS mean, is it web server/ app server? why it is required? wihout JTS what will happend? Please suggest :)

QM, RM, CCM can not run without JTS. JTS does the centralized user and license management, provides user dashboards, manages the registration of applications so that the applications can talk to each other. RM runs as fronting Application and uses services e.g. for storage, QM and RM also require the Jazz Team Server.

Hi, Ralph

Can I ask an additional question related JTS as well.

Say we have installed 2 RDM environment(RDM_01, RDM_02) on two separative machines. They are running on each JTS with using default Derby database. Later we installed floating license only on RDM_01 and configuredĀ  the JTS on RDM_01 as license server.
Further, we make RDM_02 referring to RDM_01 JTS license server.

In above scenario, do you see any potential problem?

Since RDM_02 is referring to JTS@RDM_01 as license server, If we create users on JTS@RDM_02, would the users info be stored in JTS Derby@RDM_01 or JTS Derby@RDM_02?

Can you explain a bit about how JTS license server handling above scenario?

Thanks and Regards
