Need an easy way to view work items-level progress

As a project lead, I would love to have a quick visual way to see the progress of individual work items. For example, today I can create a query of work items and see columns that tell me the estimate, corrected estimate, and time spent on each... but it a mental exercise to do a calculation of what they say... is the item about 25% done? 50% done? (a calculated % column would be very cool!).

Seeing the relative progress at a story level doesn't help me ... nor does the progress of the iteration as a whole or a specific person. I want an easy way to spot the problem work items.

I realize this implies someone is multi-tasking if they multiple work items in progress simultaneously... but this is reality for us in some cases.
