Changing filetypes in the repository

Maggie Stearns (1063027) | asked May 21 '12, 2:31 p.m.
Hi RTC'ers:

using RTC 3.0.1.1,

I recently defined a set of files (*.sql) to have the MIME type set to text/plain. I did this by creating a repository workspace and loading eclipse projects. Then I right clicked on a component and selected Team --> Change File Properties..." For *.sql files I changed the MIME type to text/plain. I made a delivery to integrate the changes.

This works for those files going forward. Any versions of those files before I made the change don't have that definition.

How can I change all versions for the entire "element" and not just for each version going forward?

-Thanks
Maggie

You can't. The file type is part of the version information. You can't change old versions, just create new versions.
