Hello,

it is hard for a non technical user identify the URI of an artifact to specify it into a query to extract artifact information to obtain a report using RPE, I whish to know if it is possible to use the name of the artifact instead of the URI in a REST query having a string like this:

https://server:port/rm/publish/resources?name=<artifact_name>

Any suggestion is welcome.

Thanks

Hi Marco,
We are analyzing this to create an enhancement to ease the use of our Reportable API from with RPE.

In the mean time you can take a look at this wiki
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RRCReportServiceFAQ#Where_can_I_find_the_artifact_UR
hopefully this can work as a guide for the non technical users

Hi Marco,
After analyzing the request we have created the enhancement 60060: Provide a easier way to reference artifacts for the Reporting API https://jazz.net/jazz03/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/60060

We're looking forward to implement this and provide a Reporting API more friendly for non-technical users.

If you have further comments or suggestions feel free to add them to the enhancement request
