Error while installing RAM 7511 server locally
I downloaded the RAM 7511 installable for the windows OS from the downloads section.I am planning on installing on my machine.
While installing,the installation manager did get upgraded successfully but then while installing the RAM server it gives a connection timed out error for the link https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-asset-manager/7.5.1.1/7.5.1.1/install-repository/. I even tried hitting this link in the browser got a below message Our apologies... The page you requested cannot be found. It might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Suggested actions If you typed the address, make sure the spelling is correct. Note: Most addresses are also case sensitive. If you clicked on a link, there may be a problem with that link. Let us know about it. Can you please tell me how i could resolve this issue?. |

Hi Rich, It was a proxy issue.After resolving that the installation started. Will let you incase i face any other issue. Another thing that i would like to know is that when do we need to install the RAM license server.Is it after the trial period is over?. Thanks. |

Hi,
You should install before the trial period is over. Otherwise you will be dead as of the end of the trial period. You should probably get the server and licenses about a week before so you have time to install and make sure all is fine with the license. You can install the license and server at any time. The trial license will be kept and put off to the side and can be restored up to the last day so you can try out the license server and if it fails go back to the trial license while you get it fixed.
