Ask a question

prompted query, help

I need to make some predefined queries for my users that prompt them for the key piece of data to search for.

I searched and found this article
https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.team.concert.dotnet.doc%2Ftopics%2Ft_creating_a_query.html&re=1&scope=null

however, I do not see the 'Provide condition values by parameter' as the article suggests..

I have tested on 3.0.1.1 and 4.0 Rc0.., both web and eclipse UIs on both

any guidance welcomed...

This became available in RC0 or some other milestone. the help you are looking at is for the next release, I think. In the Web UI, create a condition for instance for attribute "Found In". In the condition editor right to the red cross to close/dismiss the condition is a new button that toggles if this is a parameter to be provided by the user.

You can probably find it described in one of the milestone's new and notworthy.
