Hi Shruti,
you need to configure the workitem in Project area administration page. 1. Goto https://yourserver:9443/qm/admin#action=com.ibm.team.process.manageProjectAreas 2. Click on the Project area you want to customize 3. Goto Workitem Tab. This is where you cand define your own custom workitem type After doing this, You also need to goto Overview Tab and under Associations section, declare that this project area provides new type of workitem you have defined. |
Hi,
I had already created a new work Item type in work-Item customization tab under Process configuration. But in Overview I am not able to include my new WI as association.... What to do??? Actually I want to add more fields in existing Defect WI in RQM. But I am not getting any way to do this. Previously I tried to make a new WI in RQM bit that was also not working. Please help me asap , as i need to finish this work within 2 days. :( Thanks and Regards Shruti |
Is your RQM project area linked to an RTC project area in a separate server for its work item support? Or is your RQM project area linked to itself (or some other RQM project area) for its work item support?

Hi,
My Project area in RQM is linked with RTC in the same server as I am using CALM 3.0.1. Thanks Shruti |
In that case you would need to link your RQM project area to an RTC project area following the instructions at:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.jazz.platform.doc/topics/t_adding_associations_web.html And then login to the RTC administration console at https://server/ccm/admin. From there you can customize the work item types and attributes for the RTC project area following the instructions at: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.team.workitem.doc/topics/t_defining_types_web.html Hope this helps. |
Thanks Paul to chime in.
