Hi,

I have RTC installed for our internal development team usage.
I also have lots of users that are at customer site. They do not have access to RTC, and they need to report (create) new work items.

I would like to find a way to create work items in RTC from an Email.
Something similar to "Email Reader" in ClearQuest.

RTC can be configured to create new workitems from email replies.

I am using CLM 3.0.1.2 server and my client is RTC 3.0.1 but there's no option of "allowing me to import workitems via e-mails" in the user info editor screen.

I dont think the version would cause such a problem. Could you help me with that?

Although the server properties for this are defined, this work was never completed and is not a supported feature (I have updated the wiki page). See work item 95864.

Note that there are 3'rd party providers that provide this functionality as an add-on capability for RTC. For example:

I knew CM-Logic's solution. I was asking myself why they had developed a solution while IBM has one. That question is solved :)

We have the CM-Logic email reader and it works well and we have anumber of PAs using the functionality

implement it.
