Upgrade RTC to 3.0.1
Hello there,
I want to upgrade RTC from 2.0 to 3.0.1 but instead of installing CCM 3.0.1 on the same RTC 2.0 server, I want to install it on a different server. Unfortunately, my public URI has the hostname of the RTC 2.0 server in it. So I believe teh new CCM 3.0.1 server would need the same hostname, right? The problem is that I cannot have two machines with the same hostname. Has anyone done this successfully, can you please tell me the steps? One solution I was thinking was to install CCM 3.0.1 on the new server and run the migration scripts. After that I can shutdown the RTC 2.0 server and change the hostname on the CCM 3.0.1 server. Will this work? Any help is appreciated. |

Hi, may I suggest to open http://jazz.net/library and search for upgrade. There is a lot of information there you should read.
You can not change the public URI today. So if the host name is coded in you have to use internet technologies e.g. proxies to make sure the server is still reachable using the old URI. Pleas also see the library and the product help for those questions. You can also search this forum using and find many detailed discussions that were around these questions. |
