After upgrade to RAM 7.5, how to enable category
When we upgrade our RAM from 7.2 to 7.5.0.2, we found a problem:
7.2: In RAM page, click "asset" tab, the left side menu will show the "category" item to allow search asset by filter by category. after upgrade to 7.5: In RAM page, click "asset" tab, the left side menu not show the "category" , so we may not search asset fiter base on category. I checked RAM-> configuration, the category still there, not removed after upgrade. How to enable category when click "asset" tab? Thanks. |

Try clearing you browser's cache and cookies. Javascript and jsps change
between versions and sometimes those changes aren't picked up due to the browser having older versions cached. -- Rich Kulp Rational Asset Manager developer |
We have finished following steps:
1) Restart RAM server 2) Clean all the browser cache 3) Change a machine to visit RAM But still same problem, we also found "Rating" is missed. The behavior is when we use RAM user login and click "Assets" tab, for the filter items under "Filter your search": In 7.2 the following items allow to select: 1) Type 2) Category 3) State 4) Community 5) Rating After upgrade to 7.5 only 3 items left: 1) Type 2) State 3) Community Now the "category" and "Rating" now allow used for search |
Assume there are categories out there: Administration->Category Schemas.
Go to Administration->Tools and view jobs status, make sure all indexers have ran, and are ok ... (may consider to click the Rebuild index button, and monitor these jobs. |
The 'Category' and 'Rating' filters will only be displayed if assets have been categorized and rated. If you do have assets categorized and rated and these fields are still not displayed, could you try doing a search for * and see if the fields are displayed?
