RQM and DOORS Integration

Sudhanshu Chachra (1111) | asked Dec 09 '11, 4:04 p.m.
We are facing some issues when integrating DOORS v9.3.0.6/DWA v1.4.0.5 with RQM 3.0.1.1 via OSLC by establishing friend relation between two application.

The below IBM tech note was used for integration:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc%2Ftopics%2Fc_int_rqm_doors.html

After the setup, we are able associate DOORS object to Test Case and Test Plan in RQM from DOORS but there are some issues which we are facing:

1. Test Plan doesn't show the associated Requirement when in RQM, the link to requirement is not present and history of Test Plan reflects the below:
"Other A web service POST/PUT event has triggered this state of the resource. Not all details can be determined."
However, the test case show's the associated Requirement link from RQM.

2. When we try to link Requirement to Test Plan/Case from RQM, we are getting the following error messages after authenticating to DOORS Web:

"The following problems occurred during the initialization process: The media type is not acceptable. Possibly expecting . 406"

Anyone experience this issue or provide a solution to this issue.

RQM 3.0.1.1 is not support to integrate with DOORS using OSLC,as RQM 3.0.1.1 and DOORS 9.3.x.x is just finished part of integration by the OSLC. We can only leverage DOORS OSLC to allow users to hover over a link to a DOORS artifact and obtain a compact rendering. And for the other capability liking getting requirements from DOORS is still using RQMI.

Let me show you the exactly steps for the DOORS/RQMI integration in 3.0.1.1 or 3.0.1.2:

1) Please do the Pre Condition
1. CLM is installed with tomcat and derby database.
2. DOORS sever, client and DWA installed.
3. RQMI setup is done and the server started successfully.
4. DWA is configured for RQM to consume OSLC rm.

2) Export the DOORS requirements from RQMI - the requirements can't be added from RQM side but still exporting from DOORS/RQMI side

3) Open the project. Click on the 'Requirements' tab, you can see "View Requirement".When you click it, it will take you to the 'Requirements' of DOORS which have been imported to RQM,

4) When you see the Requirement, you should be able to rich hover the requirements from DOORS, and the rich hover can link to a DOORS artifact and obtain a compact rendering Which is levergate OSLC.

Hi,

I also have this error, I know that RQMI is still the way to set up this integration and have this done (there is a RM provider error in the DOS window but it seems to works).

The real question here is that if there is no OSLC integration between RQM 301 and Doors why is it in the CLM 301 help, I wanted this aswell as RQMI.

Regards
Neil
