Non case matching ID is not able to use Web UI

Hi,

A user has raised issue that cannot use Web UI effectively (various Forbidden messages). In researching I'm finding from the RTC access logs that lower case is being used for the login, but the LDAP attribute being mapped contains upper and lower case. The use of the RTC client is ok.

Registry is LDAP (IBM Blue Pages). The configuration of case insensitive matching has been and is the default of 'false' both in RTC v2 and now RTC v3 in the JTS. Looking further I found that the mixed case ID has been archived since at least Jan 2011. I know I can restore the archived ID and archive the existing, but I'd like to know if there's another path. The Allow Modification of IDs setting doesn't appear to work (unless it needs server restart)

Anyone else hit this and solved ?
