Error 403 when extracting a requirement from a document

Hi.
We have upgraded to RRC 3.0.1.
We have no problem creating new requirement from scratch and linking them to RTC and RQM.

We have however a problem when we want to extract requirements from a document.

When we open a word-document in RRC and press EDIT, the SAVE button is disabled. If we then try to save a selection of the text as a new artifact we receive the error shown below.

How do we solve the problem? Does anybody have a suggestion?

Hello Claus,

Can you give me some more information about how the document in question (i.e., the document you are attempting to extract requirements from) was created? Was the document migrated? Or did you perform an Import from Word action? Also, when you perform the extraction, are you using the document's Artifact Type for the new artifact?

Hello Lynne.
Thank you for leading my attention to the document artifact type.
It seems that the error is only given when e.g. the document artifact type is 'requirement' and the type of the extracted artefact is functional requirement.
It works fine now when I extract artefact of the type 'requirement' from a document of the type 'requirement'.

Regards, Claus

P.s. the document was created using the word import function

Hello Claus,

I'm glad you found a workaround. I have a few more questions. Can you successfully create artifacts of type Functional Requirement (via the Create Artifact operation, not extraction)? How is Functional Requirement defined (i.e., what attributes)? When you upgraded to RRC 3.0.1, did you migrate data? If so, did that data include custom types (e.g., Functional Requirement)?

Hello Lynne

Thank you for your help

No, I can not create artifacts of type Functional Requirement (via the Create Artifact operation).
I get this message if I try to create a functional req via the create artifact operation:

ID CRRRW7321W Artifact types are not defined in this project. Artifact types are required for creating artifacts. You can create artifact types on the administrator page. To create artifact types you must have the save type permission for the project.

We migrated project data when we upgraded to RRC 3.0.1.
The funtional requirement is defined with the artifact attribute = Functional/type and the datatype = Functional/type/type.
Do you think that something is perhaps missing in the migration?

regards Claus
