Issue regarding Gantt Chart

Devivaraprasad Bolisetti (261819) | asked Oct 19 '11, 10:12 a.m.
The Work item is planned for the particular iteration, but the Gantt chart shows the start date of that Work item out side the boundaries of the iteration.

For ex: iteration boundary is from october 3 to october 28, 2011. But the start date for that work item is shown as february 13 2012 in Gantt Chart. Can anyone guide
why the workitem is scheduled to start in feburary 2012, while the iteration is in october 2011.

Hi,

I assume you are talking about Traditional Plan using the Formal project management process. There are multiple factors that influence the calculation of the start date of a work item by the scheduler. This is described in the article: https://jazz.net/library/article/663

You can check if any of those factors are influencing the start date of this work item. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
