RQM 3.0.1 - Tasks Management Not Working

Ketut Mahaindra (1333) | asked Oct 07 '11, 8:02 a.m.
Hello all,

I deployed the new RQM 3.0.1 and I am having a problem on the dashboard on the My Tasks widget where it is showing an error message like: "Unable to load https://my.server.com:9443/qm/oslc/contexts/_TmFWsPCKEeCCbP70oGW8Ig/workitems/services.xml status:500"

What are the possible causes and how can it be resolved ?
Thanks.

Thanks for the links.

Not sure whether it's exactly the same root cause of the problem is the same as mentioned in work item 177027, which indicates that it seems RQM declares a work item type but has no inline editor presentation specified for it.

To elaborate a bit my problem.

  • I deployed RQM 3.0.1
  • I created a new project area with default v3 process
  • I added links to an RRC project area manually (not using the lifecycle manager)

The links are:

  • Uses Requirements from a project area in RRC
  • Uses Quality Management Tasks from self
  • Uses Defects from self
  • Provides Implementation Request to a project area in RRC
  • Provides Requirements Change Request to a project area in RRC

Do you think it is caused by the same root cause of problem?
Will removing any of the above project links helps?

Thanks again.

This symptom (not able to load https://.//oslc/contexts//workitems/services.xml) is also caused by linking RQM to itself as a CM provider without creating the RQM project area with the legacy template. The legacy template contains the definitions for workitem system, the default RQM template does not contain these definitions. Defect 177027 will resolve this symptom.

Thanks for the confirmation.

I also tried to remove the link of "Uses Quality Management Tasks from self" and the error disappears.

This appears to be a new cause to the same symptom. Please open a new RQM defect (https://jazz.net/jazz02/web/projects/Rational%20Quality%20Manager#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.newWorkItem).
