Can RQM 1.0.1 and RTC 1.0.1 share that same server

Hi,
Can RQM 1.0.1 and RTC 1.0.1 share the same server installation yet - i.e. can we install both into separate instances on the same server?

If this sharing is not possible at v1.0.1, will v2.0 offer this ability to share?

Jim.

Hi Jim, my understanding is both RQM 1.0.1 and RTC 1.0.1 can be installed on the same machine. There is an article on developerworks which discusses what is new in RQM 1.0.1. Within the article there is a section labeled, "Stronger integration with Rational Team Concert".

The article doesn't tell us if the RQM installation can be done on an existsing RTC server.

I will find it out soon.

Installing RQM into an existing RTC server instance is not supported.

Does anybody know about problems installing the RQM and RTC on the same hardware, maybe reusing the database ( having 2 schema's ) ?

Technically it can be done (as long you'r using Tomcat and not WAS):

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3499&context=SSWMEQ&context=SSSTY3&q1=1.0.0.2&uid=swg21368211&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en

but I have heard that you can have problems and installing multiple jazz products on the same physical server will not be officially supported until Jazz 2.0.
