maintenance with Jazz
Hi all,
I'm very new with Jazz so I know really very little about it but a first curiosity soon raise to me. For what I've read I don't found any reference to ReTAIN (Remote Technical Assistance Information Network), the official IBM tool through which customers use to open problems (PMRs) to IBM. How can Jazz be used to allow maintenance to developers? Many thanks for your attention and regards Anna |

Hi Anna,
You could open a bug report through this link. https://jazz.net/bugs/bugs.jsp If it is a general user / setup issue, you could also post to this very newsgroup. Anyone has other suggestions? Chrix |
Chrix,
thanks for your replay but probably I didn't explain me well. For maintenance I intend the way the customer interact with IBM; I mean together with the connectors for ClearCase and ClearQuest I was expected to find a connector for SPoRT (Service Provide on Rational Tools) otherwise how level3 people can work? Regards and thanks for your attention Anna |
Hi Anna,
The SPoRT team is looking at extending RTC to create a connector for IBM teams using ReTAIN. I do not believe it is available yet. Jessica |

Hi Anna,
Until we have something automated in place (we are working on it, but it is not done yet), we will be manually transferring information to flow information between RETAIN/SPoRT and the jazz.net workitem repository. So a customer (or support person) should feel free to use whichever mechanism that is most convenient for them, and the information will flow where it needs to go.
