License error blocking all actions in Workshop

Ben Brashear (1611) | asked Jul 01 '08, 7:48 a.m.
I have downloaded and installed RTC Beta3 Express-C and set up the workshop.

When I run "Accept Team Invitation" and log in as Jazzy, I get:
"Missing required license"
"Your license doesn't currently allow you to perform the 'Accept Team Invitation' operation."

The DB connections is made, and I can access the Squawk project area, but if I try to create a new work item I get:
"Missing required license"
"Your license doesn't currently allow you to perform the 'Save Work Item' operation."

Any suggestions on debugging this?

It sounds like your user has not been assigned a Developer client access license. If you open your user editor page in Eclipse, what client access licenses are assigned?

If you go to the License Key Management page of the admin web UI, is the Developer license activated or deactivated?

On a whim, I delete the developer license for user Jazzy, and re-assigned the developer license immediately. This fixed the problem. User Jazzy can now accept invitations and save work items with no errors. Go figure.

Thanks for pointing me to license management in the admin web pages. No doubt I should dig into this deeper, but I am going to grind through the workshop first.
