Wher to set timeout for RTC build to avoid hanging?

One question from our build teams is that from time to time the RTC build hangs due to all kinds of causes. It would be nice to be able to force the build timeout if it goes on for much longer than expected.

Is there a way to do it in RTC 2. 0 or 3.0.1 and how to do it?

Please help.
