Hi,
I have a couple of question about setting up build forge agent to start up automatically after boot up in unix/linux
If i were to use chkconfig does bfagent support start and stop command line options? because i was not able to launch bf agent using command "bfagent start" or stop it using "bfagent stop".
currently i am using "bfagent -s" manually to start the agent on every machine after boot process and i kill it using the process id when required.
Can any one please suggest if there is any other way in which i can set the agents to start automatically on boot up.

assuming you're talking about linux specifically here
if the agent doesn't automatically start on system boot, check that you have xinetd installed
xinetd is the super server that will call bfagent on a connection to the bfagent port.
the bfagent RPM DOES install the /etc/xinet.d/bfagent file so that xinetd will recognize it and auto-start it. But xinetd may not be installed on your system which could lead to your having to use "bfagent -s" to start a standalone agent process.
