RTC linux 3.0 -> 3.0.1 upgrade

Hi,
I would just like to check a few things.
I have RTC 3.0 installed on a centos server.
If I upgrade to 3.0.1 using IM 1.4.4 (or earlier) then upgrade will not work - message that RTC has to be installed as a new package. Installing does work but creats a new package group rather than upgrading the existing package group.
Does anyone know why this is?
Is it the same on windows (out of interest)
Does it mean that both 3.0 and 3.0.1 are installed so I can run either?
I have not seen anything in the install instructions about this feature (upgrade is talked about in terms of 2.0.x -> 3.0.x) - is the database shared between both packages?
Regards,
John

Hey :)

Sorry, i can't help you (neither using Linux, nor upgraded my RTC)
but maybe you can find some additional ressources here:

Michael,
thanks for this. I obviously missed this in the manual (or was probably looking at the wrong manual).
This is a worry of mine with RTC that upgrade is always install again and bring across old data plus a possible migration script. Which when it was RTC 1 to 2 or even 2 to 3 was sort of acceptable as it was a work in progress. But now it is V3 and I sort of expect upgrade to upgrade.
And it this that gives me doubts that RTC is not quite there yet.

John
