RTC 3.0.1 Build Engine User ID and TSO

Donald Poulin (2249119107) | asked Aug 01 '11, 10:57 a.m.
The user id set up on a build engine definition for zOS dependency builds of course needs an OMVS segment and needs RACF authority to OMVS and also to any and all PDSE datasets that are needed for doing builds on zOS. Question - does it need a TSO segment? This question is related to a concern where there is use of a build engine user id with a non-expiring password

We believe that you do need a TSO segment but this response is honestly just based on theory and our usecases. In our environment, all of our userids have a TSO segment. We have not tried it without. I'm assuming you may be trying to grant the least amount of authority to that build userid based on the environment. You can open a WI, and we will work in a testcase, or...it's easy enough to try.
