Hi everyone

When I try install RTC, I selected 'Extend an existing Eclipse', then an error show up.

My RTC version is 2.0.0.2, and existing eclipse version is 3.5.0

Did this error happen to anyone else?

Hi Chris,

this looks like a compatibility issue with Eclise 3.5 The installer treis to install Eclipse 3.4 components and that is not working.

Looking into the release notes for 2.0.0.2 https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/2.0.0.2iFix5?p=releaseNotes installing into Eclipse 3.5 seems to be possible. The details can be found here http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3488&uid=swg27015704#Eclipse for 3.5 there is a special p2 install mentioned. Checking the all downloads for the latest iFix shows 3 different install options including 2 different for p2.

Could you try o verify which install option you downloaded and maybe try another one that hopefully fits better to your Eclipse version?

Thanks,

Ralph
