Unable to add Template to Report Studio New Report dialog

Hello,

I have some problems trying to add a new report template to the New Report Dialog. Ive followed all the steps described in the documentation but when I click over new Report the new template the template is not available to select.

I follow these steps:

The URL you provided doesn't works for me (HTTP404). I'm following this document to create new report template, everything works fine.

I can create a template but i can use it after that. In cognos connection is visible and accesible but i want that it appears on the "new Report Dialog" in report studio. Im not able to add a new kind of reports (such as blank, list, query, financial..)

so question for you:
in the step1 of this topic: Add a Custom Report Template to the templates.xml File , it asks to open templates.xml which is located in : c8_location/webcontent/pat/res
are you opening the one in: <Insight_install_dir>/cognos/webcontent/pat/res?
Since Cognos web application is deployed on WAS, this one should be correct to change:
<Insight_install_dir>\AppServer\profiles\RationalReport\installedApps\<node_name>\IBM Cognos 8.ear\p2pd.war\pat\res\templates.xml
and remember to re-start WAS before it becomes effective.
