Percentage of time allocation for parallel tasks

Hello

I'm playing with RTC 3.0.1 - Formal Project Management process template to investigate possibility of using this tool into our project.

I tried to assign for one person, in the same time two parallel tasks. RTC calculates and displays those tasks as consecutive. There is a possibility to assign percentage of time allocation for tasks to make sure that it will be visible and calculate as parallel ? Similar like in Ms project.

One important info, those two tasks are defined in the same plan and time line, so I can not play with time percentage allocation between teams or time lines.

Thanks
Marcin

Hello Marcin,

based on this artical: https://jazz.net/library/article/663#ScheduleConstraints it seems not possible.

Or is there another opinion out there ?

Many greetings

Just for interest's sake, why do you want to display these tasks as
parallel rather than sequential? In either case, they will have the
same impact on the schedule (i.e., if one task takes 4 hours and the
other takes 5 hours, it will take 9 hours for that individual to do both
tasks, whether they do them in parallel or sequential).

Cheers,
Geoff

Geoff,

So I have a customer that is interested in having concurrent tasks on their schedule, and their response to your question, is that in reality they are concurrent so we'd like to see that way in the Gantt chart.   "It's confusing to see them sequential, and when we get to working on them (in progress) they switch to concurrent".

Anything more on this in the last two years?
