SCM: how to delete a file?

Is it true that there is no way to delete a file from a component using the RTC 2.x or RTC 3.0 scm command line tool?

Is it true that there is no way to delete a file from a component using the RTC 2.x or RTC 3.0 scm command line tool?
I think you delete the file and the change will be detected when you run 'scm status'. You can check-in this change. This would be the same way if you were deleting the file from the Eclipse client.
