Setting up LDAP for RTC 3.0.1 problem

Aleksey Karlov (76108) | asked Jul 08 '11, 4:53 p.m.
I am trying to setup LDAP access for users in RTC 3.0.1. Went to rtc setup page "Setup User Registry", entered all info as needed (we have RTC2.0 running on LDAP. I have copied exact info from there), saved it.

Now I am pressing button "Tetst Connection", which comes up with the message to enter a User ID, who will be RTC admin after setup complete. No matter whom I entered it failed with the error: "The user "UserID" does not have the JazzAdmins role. Please check the LDAP configuration."

I have JXplorer and checked the JazzAdmins group. I know the users I am entering are there.

What could be wrong?

Even with the correct info it ALWAYS fails for me. I just skip it. Make sure to hit the button that saves Tomcat information and rename the files that it lists. It won't work otherwise.

Jason, do you mean LDAP does not work at all in RTC 3.0.1 version, or just that feature where it ask you to enter the Admin user?

Thanks,

I figured that one out too. It looks like the defect still present in RTC 3.0.1 so All I did is saved setting and skipped the test. It is working with LDAP now. ;)...
