3.0.1 Setup - CRJCA0146E after disabling jts SSL

Larry McCarthy (2102224) | asked Jul 08 '11, 2:36 p.m.
Hi,

The client has a dedicated server for RTC (JTS + CCM) and wants to access it via HTTP on port 80. I followed these steps for JTS before starting setup, as discussed in this thread, so as not to bork the public URI.

On Step 5, Register Applications, I got a red "The server is unreachable. Check network connectivity" banner message (no error number). I changed http:// to https:// in the CCM Discovery URL and away we went.

All was well until Step 11, "Finalize Setup". I get a red banner near the top of the page saying:

"CRJCA0146E There was an error fetching and parsing the friends document from https://not_the.real_fqdn.com/ccm/friends. Please make sure that the application has been configured properly and that the setup has been finalized."

I think I should go and de-SSL CCM now, right? And re-do setup to change the CCM discovery URL?

Thanks,
Larry.

I edited JazzRoot/server/tomcat/webapps/ccm/WEB-INF/web.xml to change all the CONFIDENTIAL's to NONE.

Re-ran setup all the way back to Step 11. The same error message appeared but, this time, the "Next" button was lit up and available.

So, I pressed it and the installation completed. According to the summary on the setup success page, CCM is using HTTP.

My theory is that stuffing HTTPS in CCM's URL on the register page got it registered. Sometime/place later in setup, it's URL got set back to HTTP, so the Final Setup failed. Editing it's web.xml let it continue with http:// in its URL. Or something like that...

Anyway, thanks for letting me mutter to myself over here.

- Larry.
