RRDI related quick question
Is Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence compatible with RQM 2.0.1? I could not find in the requirements or anywhere if RRDI is designed for RQM 3.0 only or it replaces Rational Common Reporting (RCR) 1.0, which is compatible with RQM 2.0.1
We are running RQM 2.0.1 and going to implement external Reporting, before I start, it's better to clarify this.
Thank you.

I found the info I was looking for from the download site:
https://jazz.net/downloads/RRDI/milestones/3.0RC1?p=allDownloads
I missed it initially because Ihave downloaded from the Rational Software purchase & download site and not from Jazz.net.
However, the components that I've download is versioned 1.0.2 as oppose to 3.0RC1 here. They should be the same!

Hello.
This is not supported. You need to install RQM with the RRDI/RCR version
that it ships with to get support.
Although both use Cognos 8.4 (with different patch levels) this would
not work for three reasons that I can think off from the top of my head
(despite that this was never tested):
- RCR 1.0 installed the Data Warehouse and 2.0.1 does not (the 3.0.1 JTS
does this now with an updated schema)
- You will be missing the Reporting Data Model that shipped with RCR 1.0
and is specific to the schema
- RCR 2.0.1 configures a Custom Java authentication provider, which does
not work with RQM 2 (but could be removed after the install)
There are ways you could work around each of these issues, but as I
said, we cannot support this.
Best regards,
Peter Haumer.

Hello.
RC stands for release candidate and you should not use these anymore as
now the final builds have been made available for the 3.0.1 release.
For RQM 3.0.1 you need to use this RDDI build:
https://jazz.net/downloads/RRDI/releases/1.0.2
For RQM 2.0.1.1 you need to download the Common Reporting bits from this
page:
https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-quality-manager/releases/2.0.1.1?p=allDownloads
Hope this helps,
Peter.
