Deleting unwanted work items

Bala Rajamani (31117) | asked Jun 10 '11, 1:59 p.m.
Hello,

Are there ways to delete a work item in RTC? Project team created a few work items to test the work flow process and we would like to delete them if possible in RTC?

Thanks in advance.

There's a delete option in 3.0.1.

Otherwise you can create a separate Project Area called something like Recycle Bin and just move the unwanted items there. If only you have access to it then no one else will see them.

How can we delete work items programmatically, using RTC APIs in 3.0.1?

If you belong to JazzAdmin group you can delete the workitems? Create a query which will gather all the workitmes that you want and run this query in the web client.

Then in the top right corner you'll see Edit multiple Workitems. It will give you the option to delete those workitems. In case you get an error, you should control your process template if your RTC role has the permission to delete workitems.
