When does RRC generate emails?

Doug James (2154) | asked Jun 08 '11, 4:50 p.m.
We are trying to determine which events cause RRC to generate an email notification. Can anyone shed some light or point me to some information regarding events and email notifications?

Thank you for the help.

Doug

Hi,

Off the top of my head, there are email notifications for directed comments and around various events related to the review & approval process. Is there something specific you're looking for?

Thank you for the info, it is helpful.

Specifically, are there any email generating events regarding artifact creation and/or modification? I believe, our customers would like to subscribe to changes to artifacts much like they can subscribe to work items in RTC.

No, there are currently no email events for artifact modification, though you can see some of that activity in the recent feeds. You may open an enhancement request here to request this feature:

"recent feeds"
? It is our understanding that RRCS does not include RSS feeds. Are there feeds? If so, how does one access them?

No, there are no RSS feeds, but the recent artifact and recent comment viewlets in the user and project pages are referred to as feeds.

I am fairly certain I know the answer to this question but by chance is there some way to get the viewlet information as an RSS field?

No, there are no RSS feeds, but the recent artifact and recent comment viewlets in the user and project pages are referred to as feeds.
