CLM5.0.2 Modules that were created in 4.x do not print their headings properly in 5.0.2, both in table of contents and text
Environment(i.e. Build ID, Client and Server O/S, Browser):
CLM 5.0.2 Description of Problem: In 5.0.2, when printing some modules, headings may be missing completely from the Table of Contents. In addition, the headings may not appear with its usual formatting in the content portion of the report, probably because it was not recognized properly as a heading. For the same module, if we were to print it in 5.0.1, then the headings are fine. What seems to cause certain heading artifacts to be ignored by the table of contents is that the content is not wrapped in a <p> tag. If I edit the heading artifact that was previously ignored by the table of contents, the <p> tags get added automatically, and that particular artifact gets picked up as a heading again in the report. As of 5.0, it looks like every artifact created, whether manually or through Word Import, have their content wrapped in a <p> tag. However, in 4.x, it is not the case. If we import a Word document as a module in 4.0.6, for example, the heading artifacts' content is not wrapped in <p> tags. So after upgrading to 5.0.2, when printing those modules, users will suddenly see a sparse table of contents. Steps to Reproduce 1 (simplest): - In 5.0.2, open any module in the sample JKE Banking project - Print the module (Print Module Book) Steps to Reproduce 2: - In 4.0.6, click on Artifacts > Import Artifact... - Select the option "Import requirements from within a text document" and click on Next - Add a Word document that contains some text as headings. - Select "Yes, import the requirements and create a module" and " Create a separate module for each source". Specify a name for the module - Click on Next - Specify artifact types for Headings, Images, and All other text. - Click on Next, then Finish. - Open the module and verify that the content was imported correctly: the headings are properly set as headings. - Print the module and verify that the report's Table of Contents lists all heading sections. Verify also that the headings do appear as headings within the text. - Upgrade to 5.0.2. Alternatively, do a ReqIf export of this module in 4.0.6 and import it into a 5.0.2 environment. - Print the module in 5.0.2 Expected Results: The Table of Contents list all heading sections. The headings appear as headings within the text of the report. Actual Results: The Table of Contents does not list all heading sections. Some of the headings appear as regular text. |
