"main.synchronizer" may need to be restarted?

I am attempting a import a few files from a base ClearCase VOB into RTC 3.0.1 RC1. The status message for my import attempt says "Synchronize Pending, but synchronization engine "main.synchronizer" is not active, may need to be restarted.

Any help would be appreciated.

Right click on the synchronization stream in the sync stream view, and
select the "start synchronization engine" operation.
