How to upgrade a shell-share RTC 3.0 installation within RAD

I've installed RTC 3.0 over (shell-share) Rational Application Developer 8.0.1 via 'Install new Software' (not using the Installation Mgr). Now i want to upgrade to 3.0 ifix1. I've searched the forum, but it seems that there's no easy way to do that. Is there an update site available or how can i use a (which?) package from jazz.net to upgrade my environment?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Matthias,

The best approach I am aware of is installing RAD and not installing the packaged RTC. Then install RTC using IM. In this case you can uninstall or upgrade using IM.

I am not sure what the "Install new software" does. Is that the Eclipse feature (Help>Install New...)? In that case I am wondering where you got the update site in the first place. I have never installed RTC that way and was not aware there was an update site.

Hi Matthias, what update site or package name did you use to install RTC 3.0 over RAD 8?
