Best Practice around config history changes

We have a few Project Admins, and we are looking for hints/tips/best practices on how to handle changes. We have a change board so that we discuss changes to the configuration, but we haven't yet found any "change history" mechanism on the configuration itself. So if something stops working or changes, there is no way that we have found to ask RTC "can you tell me what has changed and by whom"? We have that in the work items, but we don't seem to have found it for the Configuration.

Thanks,
Susan

What do you mean by "the configuration"?
The configuration of the Jazz Team server itself?
The configuration of the process of a project area?
The configuration of a component in a stream?

I'm assuming you are talking about the Jazz Team Server, but wanted to
verify.

Cheers,
Geoff

If you're asking about history of your process changes...

In the RTC Eclipse client you can open a project area, go to the Process Configuration Source tab, right click and choose "Show History". This shows the history of changes to the process XML.

Jared, yep, this was EXACTLY what we were looking for! What a hidden little gem.

Ah, one more question ... is there any type of enhancement request open to allow any type of linking a change to a work item or adding a comment when we make changes into the process configuration?
