Can't install plug-in for Helios EE SP2

I tried installing the RTC plug-in for Eclipse in to Helios EE SP2 and I get the following error:

Offering cannot be installed into this existing Eclipse installation configuration because it would invalidate existing bundle constraints
Installing bundle "org.eclipse.xsd_2.5.0.v200906151043" into this existing Eclipse installation does not meet the version tolerance of "

Is there a list somewhere of which Eclipse IDE releases are compatible with RTC?

For others information:

This is resolved in the eclipse java EE ide for web developers by updating the XSD - XML Schema Definition SDK to a version 2.6.0 or greater. This was vailable on the eclipse download site under the Modeling section.

Try here:

http://jazz.net/library/article/496

That is the 3.0 system requirements and it states:

Eclipse

* Eclipse SDK 3.6 and 3.6.1
* Eclipse SDK 3.5.2 (Bundled)

Thanks. I'm embarrassed to say I did not read all the documentation, but there is just so much to read everywhere.

So I also found that RTC 3.0.1M13 also works with Eclipse SDK 3.6.2 - I tested it and works.

No problem - it is easy to miss things.

Glad M13 works for you with 3.6.2.

It is also interesting to note that the M13 RTC plugin does not seem to work with the Eclipse EE 3.6.2 version of the IDE, but does work with the Eclipse SDK 3.6.2 version of the IDE.

I have tried 3.0.1 RC1 and I get this same failure? Any ideas?

This is most likely a missing plugin issue - you may need plugins in the EE version that exist in the SDK version of Eclipse (and are required by RTC) If you are able to compare the plugin list for both flavours of Eclipse - that may help.

hi,

i found the inforation with an older version of RTC that either visual studio professional or higher is a system requirement for the vs client of RTC

it would be beneficial from my point of view to allow the integration with the expess versions of vs

then a small team could leverage RTC work management while producing ms .net code without additional costs

is there a technical reason why this is not possible?

Hi,
It is not possible to integrate RTC with express edition of visual studio because of the limited extensibility support that VS express edition provides. You should however be able to use it with Standard version of visual studio.
