Clearcase baselines import in RTC 2.0.0.2

We are trying to import files from Clearcase UCM into RTC with Clearcase Importer.
We'd like to import Clearcase baselines in RTC baselines but actually, they are imported in RTC Change sets.

Is there a way to import Clearcase UCM baselines into RTC baselines ?

You can get this enhancement by upgrading to RTC-3.0.

Yes, I'm sure, but you have to know where to find them (:-).
They aren't in the sync stream (that would disrupt the change flow).
So to find those baselines, right click on the component in the Team
Artifact Navigator (you'll find the component under the Source Control
node in the project area that owns the component), and select "Show
Baselines". Or right click on the component in some stream/workspace,
and select "Replace_with -> Baseline..." (remember to select
"Clear_Filter").

Cheers,
Geoff

I've tried to import my Clearcase sources in RTC 3.0 but Clearcase
baselines are still imported as RTC change sets.

Are you sure baselines import has been implemented yet in RTC 3.0 ?

Thanks for the tip to locate the baselines. It was difficult to find :-)

Why the imported baselines are not displayed in the sync stream and are
hidden? Why showing these would disrupt the changeflow?

Many thanks,
Ana

The imported baselines are not delivered by the synchronizer to the sync
stream because those imported baselines may not be compatible with
baselines that the user has created in the sync stream. This would mean
that if the synchronizer delivered those baselines to the sync stream,
the deliver would remove the incompatible user-created baselines from
the sync stream. This actually was what we did in RTC-1.0, but removed
this behavior in RTC-2.0 because of (understandable) user objections.

Geoff
